2027 Nissan Rogue vs. 2026 Toyota RAV4 vs. 2027 Honda CR-V: Compact SUV Comparison
The 2027 Nissan Rogue, 2026 Toyota RAV4, and 2027 Honda CR-V are three of the most popular compact SUVs for Clermont drivers, and they take different approaches to power and fuel economy. The Rogue uses a turbocharged gas engine, every 2026 RAV4 is a hybrid, and the CR-V is offered with gas and hybrid powertrains. In this comparison, we'll look at performance, technology, safety, and size to help you decide which SUV is right for you.
Nissan Rogue vs. Toyota RAV4 vs. Honda CR-V Specs Performance & MPG
All three compact SUVs seat five and offer available all-wheel drive, but their powertrains set them apart. If fuel economy is your top priority, the hybrid models lead. If you prefer a turbocharged gas engine with strong low-end torque, the Rogue is the one to test drive.
2027 NISSAN ROGUE
The 2027 Nissan Rogue is powered by the Variable Compression Turbo (VC-Turbo) engine, which makes 201 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque. That is more torque than the Honda CR-V's gas engine, and the VC-Turbo has been named to the Wards 10 Best Engines list. The Rogue is rated at up to 28 MPG city and 33 MPG highway, comes with available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, and offers Sport, Auto, and Eco drive modes, plus available Snow and Off-Road modes. A Rogue Hybrid is also listed by Nissan as coming in November 2026.
2026 TOYOTA RAV4
Every 2026 Toyota RAV4 is a hybrid, built around a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas-electric powertrain rated at up to 236 horsepower. Fuel economy is its main strength, with EPA ratings of up to 47 MPG city and 40 MPG highway with front-wheel drive, well above the gas-powered Rogue. It also has the highest towing capacity of the three, at up to 3,500 pounds. Gas-only RAV4 models are no longer offered, so shoppers who prefer a conventional turbocharged gas engine will want to compare it with the Rogue.
2027 HONDA CR-V
The 2027 Honda CR-V comes with two powertrains. The gas models (LX, EX, and EX-L) use a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque, rated at 28 MPG city and 33 MPG highway with front-wheel drive. The hybrid models (Sport Hybrid and above) produce 204 total horsepower and are rated at up to 43 MPG city and 36 MPG highway with front-wheel drive. The gas CR-V can tow up to 1,500 pounds, and the hybrid up to 1,000 pounds.
